Since there was no grass and the field consisted of equal parts of dirt and rocks, Estuary never lacked pitchers. Everybody was adept at throwing rocks and baseballs.
Jimmy Coleman – better known as a defensive back on the Laney team that faced the CCSF Rams and OJ Simpson in the JC state championship. Whatever happened to him?
Nolan Coleman
Doug Francis
Jesse Mims
Curt Motton
Freddie Motton
Donald Spragens

Got to get to the century mark. Please add Arthur Crouse, Robert Brown and me (although I barely made the box score). Too bad Don Grant has passed on. He could’ve rattled off over a 100 names with no problem at all. In addition to being a coach, he was a true mentor to so many kids in the projects.
Nancito Canalin
Rubin Hands
how could you leave Leroy Jones off the list!!
John Bullock played third base, donald spragens played first base, raggie mims played back stop.
My brother Master Browley played for the Estuary Rams ,he was one of the fastest runners for the team. I remember Mr. Grant one of the black teachers who wanted to make a difference in children lives. We lived in the Estuary Projects during 1963-1966 before they closed them down.
Gary Longanecker
played for the Rams
